Alpha Omega Chardonnay Reserve 2013 Masters the Competition

If you enjoyed the Alpha Omega Reserve Chardonnay 2013, you weren’t alone. We’re honored to tell you that the judges at the Global Chardonnay Masters 2016 competition, held in September in the United Kingdom, loved the wine so much that they awarded it the joint top score (Masters 95 points+) in the entire tasting from more than 200 wines.

The Alpha Omega Chardonnay 2013 also earned a medal with Silver 85 points +. Every wine was measured on the taste of its grape and the skill of its winemaker. All Global Masters are judged blind by the finest palates in the world – a panel of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers only.

“The judges are always very tough, with a reputation for being the toughest panel in any blind tasting series, so this really is an outstanding result for you,” we were told by The Drinks Business, the global-leading drinks trade publication which organized the four-year-old competition.

The judges for the Global Chardonnay Masters were as follows:

  • Thomas Chevalier – Vagabond Wines
  • Alberto Segade – Fera at Claridge’
  • Patricia Stefanowicz
  • Keith Isaac MW - Castelnau
  • Hugh Rose MW
  • Miles Corish MW
  • Jonathan Pedley MW
  • Christine Parkinson - Hakkasan
  • Michelle Cherutti-Kowal MW
  • Patrick Schmitt MW
  • Lucy Shaw - Managing Editor - The Drinks Business

As delighted as we are to share this exciting news with you, we’re sad to tell you that we already sold out of this vintage. The good news is the Alpha Omega Reserve Chardonnay 2014 is tasting just as delicious as the Alpha Omega Reserve Chardonnay 2013, which also won the top prize at the International Chardonnay Symposium in May.

Don’t miss out on adding the Reserve Chardonnay 2014 to your cellar.
