The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is a special release from our Winemaking Library, showcasing the remarkable 2018 vintage. This wine reflects the unique character of the Dr. Crane Vineyard, located on the west side of St. Helena with its gravelly loam soils. Deep garnet in color, it opens with alluring aromas of melons, Mirabelle plums, and bay leaves, layered with notes of licorice, cedar, and black tea leaves. On the palate, experience a sweet, juicy entrance with complex flavors of cumin, Herbes de Provence, brandy-infused plum, and fresh watermelon. With 22 months of aging in French oak, 80% of which were new barrels, this wine embodies the perfect balance of freshness and concentration.
