Rosé Reserve Napa Valley 2024
VINTAGE NOTES
Significant winter rains provided healthy soil moisture and excellent canopy growth in spring. Steady weather during bud break, followed by a successful bloom led to a warmer than usual summer, but soil moisture and healthy canopies enabled vines to successfully cope with the warmer temperatures. The summer heat was a key factor in helping grapes reach perfect ripeness with dynamic, rich flavors. Our 2024 Rosé shows tremendous color and depth.
VINEYARD SOURCES
We farm classic Bordeaux red varieties specifically for our Rosé Reserve program. Using predominantly mountain grapes grown in Spring Mountain and Atlas Peak, along with select valley floor vineyards, we capture the diversity of Napa Valley terroir, accented by a bold personality that creates a variety of food pairing opportunities.
WINEMAKING
The 2024 Rosé Reserve is a handcrafted blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 8% Malbec and 2% Sauvignon Blanc. Utilizing 25% whole cluster pressed grapes and 75% saignée, the juice was fermented in 100% stainless steel tanks and then aged for six months in 100% stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness in the wine.
TASTING NOTES
SIGHT: Medium deep pink with orange highlights
NOSE: Aromas of cranberry, strawberry and guava enhanced by nutmeg, and dried roses
PALATE: This dry, medium bodied wine has youthful flavors of cranberry, tangerine and watermelon mixed with candied almonds, framed by bright acidity
