VINTAGE NOTES
2023 is an exceptional vintage marked by one of the longest growing seasons in over a decade. Significant winter rains followed by a warm dry spring supported healthy canopy growth through bloom. Cooler weather prevailed throughout the rest of the growing season aided by abundant sunshine that enabled grapes to ripen slowly and reach perfect maturity. The long growing season and extended “hang time” for grapes has produced wines with stunning, complex flavors and the structure for long term aging.
VINEYARD SOURCES
This wine showcases a range of Napa Valley sub-AVA’s that include mountain-grown grapes from Atlas Peak and Spring Mountain, hillside-grown grapes from Rutherford, and valley-floor-grown grapes from Oak Knoll District that create an evocative sense of place that could only be Napa Valley.
TASTING NOTES
NOSE: Dark fruit aromas of black cherry, casis and cranberry are mixed with aromas of brown sugar and fig.
PALATE: Bright focused flavors of black cherry, fig are complimented by notes of dark earth, anise and mocha.
