VINTAGE NOTES
2023 is an exceptional vintage marked by one of the longest growing seasons in over a decade. Significant winter rains followed by a warm dry spring supported healthy canopy growth through bloom. Cooler weather prevailed throughout the rest of the growing season aided by abundant sunshine that enabled grapes to ripen slowly and reach perfect maturity. The long growing season and extended “hang time” for grapes has produced wines with stunning, complex flavors and the structure for long term aging.

VINEYARD SOURCES
Our Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Signature 2023 was handcrafted from select vineyards throughout Napa Valley, with a distinctive contribution from Stagecoach Vineyard on Atlas Peak. A small lot of barrel-fermented Stagecoach Merlot stood out throughout fermentation and aging for its exceptional fruit, tension and balance. Its inclusion in the final blend brings another dimension to the wine while preserving the Cabernet Sauvignon character and sense of place at its core.

TASTING NOTES
NOSE: Dark fruit aromas of black cherry, casis and cranberry are mixed with aromas of brown sugar and fig.
PALATE: Full bodied and polished, with generous flavors of blackberry, dark cherry and plum framed by finely textured tannins. The wine combines richness with freshness and tension, while notes of dark chocolate, espresso and savory spice carry through the long, smooth finish.
