Alpha Omega’s first vintage of ERA in 2006 embodied “the new era” of winemaking in Napa Valley and represents our highest level of dedication to handcrafting a wine that serves as the ideal confluence of Old World traditional handcrafted winemaking methods utilizing New World state of the art technology both in the vineyard and in the cellar.
Each vintage, ERA is a perfectly matched union of expertly farmed all-star Cabernet Sauvignon single vineyards that best illustrate the characteristics of its AVA, its terroir – valley floor, hillside and mountain top, influenced by the conditions Mother Nature presents.
Sourced from highly regarded coopers in France, ERA is 100% barrel fermented and aged in the finest French oak, to develop the nuances and complexity that enhance the noble character of the vineyards it was born from.
Barrel fermentation produces dramatic integration of flavors and tannins that provide early accessibility and significant aging potential.
