Alpha Omega farms a select group of single vineyards that include
some of the most sought after and historic vineyards in the Napa Valley.
Produced in small quantities, each of these wines make a distinctive, dramatic statement of grape and place.
Angel’s Vista Vineyard
NAPA VALLEY AVA
Visible from Alpha Omega winery, Angel’s Vista is stunningly situated at 1,000 feet in the Vaca Mountains on the eastern edge of the Napa Valley between Rutherford and Pritchard Hill with remarkable vistas of the valley floor below and Lake Hennessey to the east. Originally a cattle ranch, the property was developed by fifth generation Napa Valley viticulturist Larry Bettinelli over a span of twenty-five years. Today, expertly farmed rows of nine-year-old vines run up and down steep southwest facing slopes and thrive in the rocky soils here. Angel’s Vista has quickly become one of Napa Valley’s most acclaimed vineyards.


Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard
ST. HELENA AVA
Situated on hallowed terroir on the west side of St. Helena with Las Piedras and Dr. Crane Vineyard as neighbors, Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard is part of a vineyard planted in 1872 by William Bowers Bourn II. Bourn was the owner of the Empire Gold Mine in California and the man who also built Greystone Cellars in 1889, the first cooperative winery in Napa Valley.
The rocky, well drained Cortina soils in this twelve-acre vineyard are part of a large alluvial fan from the nearby Mayacamas Mountains that rise up on the western edge of the vineyard producing powerful, expressive Cabernet Sauvignon.
Beckstoffer Vineyard Georges III
RUTHERFORD AVA
In 1928, Georges de Latour, owner of Beaulieu Vineyard purchased 250 acres of a vineyard originally planted by Elizabeth and Thomas Rutherford in 1895. It would later become a favorite of legendary Beaulieu Winemaker André Tchelistcheff.
One of Andy Beckstoffer’s original acquisitions in 1988, he renamed it Georges III after George de Latour. Located on the east side of Rutherford AVA, the renowned Georges III vineyard is planted exclusively to Cabernet Sauvignon in fertile, well drained soils.


Beckstoffer Vineyard Missouri Hopper
OAKVILLE AVA
Missouri Hopper began as part of George C. Yount’s original estate in Napa Valley. Charles Hopper purchased the land in 1873, planted grapes, and gifted it to his daughter Missouri in 1877—a lively, entrepreneurial woman who built a thriving grape-growing business and ran a hotel in St. Helena.
The vineyard was later redeveloped in the 1950s by architect Bruce Kelham and acquired by Andy Beckstoffer in 1996.
Located in Oakville’s southwest corner, Missouri Hopper is renowned for producing bold, richly textured Cabernet Sauvignon.
Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard
OAKVILLE AVA
Situated on a large alluvial fan in the western part of Oakville AVA. Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is located in the southern portion of the original To Kalon Vineyard. To Kalon is Greek for “the place of highest beauty,” an appropriate description for a vineyard that produces many of the most dramatic and ageable wines in the Napa Valley.
To Kalon’s colorful history dates to the late 1860s when it was first planted by viticulturist Hamilton Crabb who had purchased the vineyard from George Yount’s son-in-law, E.L. Sullivan.


Cordes Vineyard
ATLAS PEAK AVA
Overlooking Stagecoach Vineyard in the Atlas Peak AVA, the much smaller Cordes Vineyard has a warm inland climate augmented by rocky, red volcanic soils, typical of Vaca Range vineyards.
Jackie and Carolyn Cordes are identical twin sisters and sixth generation cattle ranchers from California’s Central Valley. Jackie’s love of farming inspired the two of them to purchase the vineyard in 2000 and Carloyn and her two sons now hand tend this picturesque mountain vineyard.
Drew Block Stricker Vineyard
MOUNT VEEDER AVA
Stricker Vineyard (formerly Drew Vineyard) traces its lineage back to George Drew, who originally purchased the property in 1889 from the U.S. government. Renowned architect Larry Stricker acquired the property in 1986 and developed a 17-acre vineyard before selling it to Alpha Omega.
At altitudes of 1,500 feet, this steeply terraced vineyard in the Mount Veeder AVA boasts rocky, well drained soils surrounded by tall redwoods which provide cooler temperatures. In homage to Drew, we bottled a small block of the original vineyard.


Houyi Vineyard
NAPA VALLEY AVA
Houyi (pronounced who–yee) was a mythical Chinese archer who saved the Earth from the sudden appearance of ten suns in the sky by shooting down nine of them. Houyi Vineyard is in the Pritchard Hill region, east of Rutherford in the heart of the Vaca Mountains.
Viticulture in Pritchard Hill dates to 1890's and Charles Pritchard’s small Zinfandel and Riesling vineyard, the region now produces some of Napa Valley’s most compelling wines.
The Chang family began developing the 22-acre Houyi vineyard in 2010. Perched at 1,300 feet, Houyi is a dramatic, south facing, rock strewn vineyard accentuated by warm, sunny afternoons.
Hudson Vineyard
CARNEROS AVA
A shining star in the Carneros AVA, Hudson Vineyards is located almost exactly halfway between Sonoma and Napa on Highway 121. It is named after celebrated grape grower Lee Hudson, who purchased the 2,000-acre property in 1981. The vineyard partially overlaps the historic Talcoa Vineyards—one of Napa’s most renowned vineyards in the late 1880s—whose Indian name roughly translates to “laughing land,” a nod to the daily winds that sweep in from nearby San Pablo Bay.
Punctuated by rolling hills and shallow, rocky soils, Hudson Vineyards benefits from a complex interplay of natural elements. Lee Hudson’s deep understanding of the relationships between soil, climate, rootstock, and clone in each vineyard block allows him to produce grapes of exceptional quality—grapes that are sold to a who’s who of California’s top winemakers.


Hyde Vineyard
CARNEROS AVA
One of Napa Valley's most iconic Chardonnay vineyards, Hyde Vineyards was established in 1979 by Larry Hyde. A true innovator, Larry planted a variety of clones and carefully oriented the vineyard rows to complement the rolling terrain of the Carneros AVA. His thoughtful approach quickly elevated the reputation of Hyde-grown grapes, making them some of the most sought after in California.
Cool afternoon breezes from the Petaluma Gap contribute to a long growing season, allowing the fruit to develop exceptional character and depth of flavor. Alpha Omega’s Chardonnay is sourced from the oldest Chardonnay block on the property, originally planted in 1978 to the Old Wente clone and replanted in 1994 using the same clone.
Lamoreaux Vineyard
OAK KNOLL AVA
A celebrated, pioneering viticulturist, Joseph Osborne planted one of Napa Valley’s first Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards on his Oak Knoll Ranch in the 1850s, only to tragically pass away in 1863. The Lamoreaux family purchased the Osborne property in 1949 and revived his viticultural legacy in the 1970s, developing several pristine vineyard blocks with the help of Silver Oak founder Justin Meyer.
Nestled among towering Valley Oaks at the foot of the Mayacamas, Lamoreaux Vineyard today remains a hidden gem. Its deeply concentrated, richly flavored grapes are sold exclusively to a handful of esteemed Napa Valley wineries that value its unique character and heritage.


Marston Vineyard
SPRING MOUNTAIN DISTRICT AVA
First planted in the early 1900s by horse and plow, the dramatic terraces of Marston Vineyard feature a variety of altitudes, exposures and a mix of sedimentary and volcanic soils.
Located in the southwest corner of the Spring Mountain AVA, this 40-acre vineyard was redeveloped in the 1990’s and planted exclusively to Cabernet Sauvignon, 18 different blocks situated from 800 to 1,300 feet. This mountain location and cooler temperatures, creates a longer growing season that produce grapes with exceptional depth.
Paratus Vineyard
MOUNT VEEDER AVA
Originally planted as a twelve-acre Chardonnay vineyard in 1981 by Chandon Winery, Paratus was transformed in 2001 into a dry farmed, Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard that follows strict sustainable farming protocols. Perched at 1,500 feet with dramatic terraces, and rich. volcanic, seabed soils, these are low yielding, high quality vines.
Paratus, a Latin term for “always prepared” is a hidden gem tucked away in the southern part of Mount Veeder AVA and only a stone’s throw from the famed Mayacamas Winery.


Sacrashe Vineyard
RUTHERFORD AVA
Sacrashe Vineyard is famous for its rocky soil and large bands of dusty, volcanic ash that dominate the gentle, rolling landscape of this vineyard. The Vaca Mountain soils, coupled with higher altitudes and warm afternoon sun, produce low yields of ripe, richly flavored grapes.
Sleeping Lady Vineyard
YOUNTVILLE AVA
Situated in the southwestern corner of the Yountville AVA in the shadow of the Mayacamas Mountains, Sleeping Lady Vineyard is named after the silhouette that a lower ridge line makes against the taller Mayacamas ridgeline.
The primary soils of Sleeping Lady are rocky alluvial fans, a product of the vineyard’s proximity to the Mayacamas. Originally planted in the 1870s, Sleeping Lady Vineyard was purchased and replanted in 2013 by Larry Bettinelli, a fifth generation Napa Valley farmer.


Stagecoach Vineyard
ATLAS PEAK AVA
Developed in the mid-1990’s by Dr. Jan Krupp and his brother, Bart, Stagecoach Vineyards® was a massive project that involved removing over one million tons of rock to develop this critically acclaimed vineyard.
Located in the Atlas Peak AVA at 1,200 feet in the southeast corner of the Napa Valley, Stagecoach Vineyard is next door to the acclaimed Pritchard Hill growing region and the two share many similar terroir attributes including rocky, volcanic laden Vaca Mountains soils.
Tench Vineyard
OAKVILLE AVA
When John Tench bought 60 acres in Oakville in 1965, he initially planned to raise cattle, following a family tradition dating back to 19th-century Shropshire, England. But he soon recognized the land’s greater potential for growing grapes.
Tench Vineyard lies on the edge of an ancient volcanic landslide from Atlas Peak, creating a distinctive mix of red volcanic rock and fertile valley loam. This remarkable terroir, located between Screaming Eagle and Rudd Estate, is now sustainably farmed by fourth-generation Margaret Tench and Rem Reigersman.


Thomas Vineyard
RUTHERFORD AVA
A chance meeting at the Rutherford Post Office between Alpha Omega Vintner Robin Baggett and engineer Don Thomas led to Alpha Omega’s purchase of Thomas Vineyard in 2015.
Nestled in the Mayacamas foothills on the renowned Rutherford Bench, the seven-acre vineyard—planted in 2003—is dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon. Its 15 blocks span varied slopes and rocky alluvial soils, yielding low quantities of intensely flavored grapes.
