Celebrate the holidays with the 2021 ERA, presented in an elegant wood box. ERA, Alpha Omega's flagship Cabernet Sauvignon, defines our greatest achievement in winemaking each vintage, expressing the extraordinary diversity of Napa Valley. The 2021 draws from some of the very best vineyards we farm in the Oakville, Yountville, St. Helena, and Mount Veeder appellations. A blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, and 2% Malbec, it was aged 18 months in French oak barriques, 50% new. It's a gift to enjoy this season or lay down for years to come.

ABOUT ERA
ERA, first crafted in 2006, represents "a new era of winemaking" in Napa Valley and the philosophy upon which Alpha Omega was founded. ERA combines the finest traditions of Old World craftsmanship, meticulous hand tending of vines, and handcrafted French oak barrel fermentation with the precision of New World state-of-the-art technology in both the vineyard and the cellar.

ERA is a perfectly matched union of Cabernet Sauvignon from exceptional single vineyards we farm throughout Napa Valley, each chosen for its distinctive expression of terroir. The final blend unites valley floor, hillside, and mountain vineyards, capturing the unique influence of Mother Nature each growing season.

ERA is 100% barrel fermented and aged in the finest French oak barrels, enhancing the wine's noble character while integrating flavors and tannins to provide both early approachability and exceptional aging potential.

ERA embodies the distinctive character of Napa Valley's terroir through the timeless art and craft of winemaking, representing the culmination of our founding philosophy and bringing together all that is good from beginning to end.

THE VINTAGE
Late winter rains followed by ideal spring growing conditions set the stage for the 2021 vintage. Mild temperatures punctuated this drought year with only a few summer heat spikes, leading to early ripening and allowing us to harvest some early blocks with incredible old-world charm and intriguing complexity. Grapes harvested later benefited from the longer hang time and ripened perfectly, displaying great depth with distinct regional character. The ideal weather of 2021, coupled with lower yields, produced wines that offer intense aromatics and flavors with excellent aging potential.

TASTING NOTES
NOSE: A complex combination of red currant, blackberry and black cherry fruits mixed with anise, sweet roasted espresso bean, sponge toffee, graphite and violets.
PALATE: A broad, rich entry of palate-coating, layered dark cherry and blackberry fruits, accented by notes of lavender, caramel cream and dark earth that leads to a long, firm, flavorful finish.
