Sauvignon Blanc 1155 Napa Valley 2025

VINTAGE NOTES
Following substantial winter rainfall, the growing season began with abundant soil moisture followed by sunny weather during budbreak and bloom. A relatively cool summer followed that allowed for gradual, even ripening of the fruit, preserving natural acidity while promoting the gradual development of flavor. A warmer September along with a few small rain events helped spread out the harvest schedule and allowed for precise picking decisions of grapes with a perfect mix of phenolic and brix ripeness. 2025 white wines exhibit vibrant freshness, layered aromatics, and exceptional depth, reflecting the precision and harmony of a long, balanced growing season.

VINEYARD SOURCES
Named for Alpha Omega’s address on Mee Lane, the 1155 Vineyard is located in front of the winery along Highway 29. One of the vineyards included in the original purchase of the property in 2006, it was planted in 1993 to Sauvignon Blanc (Clone 1). These four acres of widely spaced, mature vines thrive in deep clay soils, further enhanced by the addition of Sauvignon Blanc from the cooler Carneros AVA

WINEMAKING
The 2025 vintage is a blend of 91% Sauvignon Blanc and 9% Semillon which added body and texture to the wine. After whole cluster pressing, 5% of the juice was barrel fermented in new French 330 liter “cigar” barrels and 5% neutral barrels with periodic stirring of the lees and 90% was fermented in stainless steel tanks. This wine did not go through malolactic fermentation and was aged for six months in 10% French cigar and neutral barrels and 90% in stainless steel tanks.

TASTING NOTES
SIGHT: Pale silvery yellow with hints of green
NOSE: Forward aromas of passion fruit, honeydew melon and grapefruit mixed with lemon verbena, lilies and hay.
PALATE: Medium bodied, fresh flavors of green apple, grapefruit, nectarine and peach enhanced by notes of lemongrass and fresh peas along with bright acidity.
