ABOUT ERA
ERA, first crafted in 2006, represents "a new era of winemaking" in Napa Valley and the philosophy upon which Alpha Omega was founded. ERA combines the finest traditions of Old World craftsmanship, meticulous hand tending of vines, and handcrafted French oak barrel fermentation with the precision of New World state-of-the-art technology in both the vineyard and the cellar.

ERA is a perfectly matched union of Cabernet Sauvignon from exceptional single vineyards we farm throughout Napa Valley, each chosen for its distinctive expression of terroir. The final blend unites valley floor, hillside, and mountain vineyards, capturing the unique influence of Mother Nature each growing season.

ERA is 100% barrel fermented and aged in the finest French oak barrels, enhancing the wine's noble character while integrating flavors and tannins to provide both early approachability and exceptional aging potential.

THE VINTAGE
2023 is an exceptional vintage marked by one of the longest growing seasons in over a decade. Significant winter rains followed by a warm, dry spring supported healthy canopy growth through bloom, while cooler weather and abundant sunshine allowed grapes to ripen slowly and reach perfect maturity. The result is a Chardonnay of remarkable freshness and purity and an ERA with stunning complexity and the structure for long-term aging.

ERA 2023 TASTING NOTES
NOSE: Pure, deep, rich aromas of blackberry, raspberry and plum accented by purple flowers, savory herbs, toasted hazelnuts and new leather.
PALATE: Full-bodied, concentrated flavors of cassis and raspberry with notes of dark roast coffee, graphite and toasted oak that lead to a long, layered finish
