Introducing the 2022 Proprietary Red from Napa Valley's Oak Knoll District. This expertly crafted blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Malbec, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot captures the unique terroir of one of Napa’s cooler AVAs. Aged in French oak for 18 months, it boasts vibrant aromas of cassis, plum, and cherry, with a palate of ripe cherry, cassis, and subtle hints of oregano and cedar. Atlas Peak is a huge open rocky amphitheater in the heart of the Vaca Mountains with vineyards reaching 2,500 feet planted in rocky, volcanic soils. The higher altitudes and nearby San Pablo Bay provide cooler nighttime temperatures that complement the warm, sunny days here, ideal for classic Bordeaux varieties.
