Alpha Omega Collective Wineries Merge, Unveil New Napa and Paso Robles Tasting Rooms

RUTHERFORD, Calif. — February 20, 2023

What began as an umbrella brand in 2018 is now a single, unified company.

Alpha Omega in Napa Valley, Tolosa in the San Luis Obispo Coast and Perinet in Spain’s Priorat have officially merged to formally create the Alpha Omega Collective. The announcement marks a landmark moment for the organization Robin and Michelle Baggett have been building since 2006, and it comes alongside a wave of expansion that touches nearly every corner of California wine country.

One Corporate Structure, Three World-Class Wineries

The merger brings Alpha Omega, Tolosa and Perinet together under one corporate structure for the first time, allowing the teams across all three brands to share resources, align operations and deepen their collective commitment to winemaking, hospitality and sustainability.

“Combining our three wineries under one corporate structure allows our teams to work together to create best in class operations, from winemaking to hospitality to sustainability initiatives. The ultimate beneficiaries are our customers and the communities in which we live.”

— Robin Baggett, Managing Partner, Alpha Omega Collective

The three wineries have been operating under the Alpha Omega Collective umbrella brand since 2018, when Robin and Michelle Baggett unified the portfolio they had built across Napa Valley, California’s central coast and Spain. Alpha Omega was established by the Baggetts in 2006. Robin co-founded Tolosa in 1998. The couple acquired a sizable interest in Perinet nearly six years ago. The formal merger makes that unity structural, not just conceptual.

Expanding the Footprint Across California Wine Country

The merger announcement arrives alongside a significant expansion of the Alpha Omega Collective’s physical presence, with new and upgraded tasting room locations across three wine regions.

AOC Napa: Expanded and Upgraded

When the Alpha Omega Collective tasting room opened on First Street in downtown Napa in 2019, directly across from the Archer Hotel, Alpha Omega became one of the first UpValley wineries to establish a presence in the city’s rapidly growing wine tourism corridor. The response from guests has been strong enough to warrant a beautifully designed new adjacent space, which has recently been unveiled.

AOC Paso Robles: Now Open

AOC Paso, located on the square in San Luis Obispo County’s Paso Robles, opened in January 2023. The new location brings the Collective’s three-winery portfolio to one of California’s most exciting and fast-growing wine regions, with direct access to the visitors and wine lovers who have made Paso Robles one of the most talked-about appellations in the state.

AOC Healdsburg: Coming Soon

A third new location in Healdsburg, Sonoma County, is slated to open in spring 2023, further extending the Collective’s reach into California wine country and introducing Alpha Omega, Tolosa and Perinet to a new audience of engaged wine enthusiasts.

AOC Cares: Giving Back as a Company Value

Alongside the merger and expansion news comes the launch of Alpha Omega Collective Cares, a new program designed to reinforce the organization’s long-standing commitment to community and social responsibility.

Through AOC Cares, every employee of the Alpha Omega Collective receives up to 40 hours of paid time off annually to volunteer at charitable organizations of their choice in the communities where they live and work. The program is designed to support the Alpha Omega Collective Foundation, whose mission is to inspire and encourage charitable giving in the next generation of wine community leaders.

The Foundation was established by Michelle Baggett in 2016, and she serves as its President and CEO.

“AOC Cares emphasizes a message that I often say about everyone having value to nonprofits. We are proud to offer this new company benefit to encourage our employees to donate their time, experience and skills to helping their communities.”

— Michelle Baggett, President and CEO, Alpha Omega Collective Foundation
