Alpha Omega Tasting Room

A native of West Covina in Southern California, Winemaker Melissa Paris was a professional musical theatre dancer when she discovered an interest in wine. This newfound passion took her to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she earned her BS in Wine and Viticulture with a concentration in Enology. Melissa gained broad exposure to diverse winemaking techniques, along with valuable lab experience, by working Northern and Southern Hemisphere harvests for six years.

Melissa joined the winemaking team at Alpha Omega in 2020. Since then, she has spearheaded the adoption of in-house advanced lab technology, ensured rigorous quality control procedures in wine production, and developed protocols for cellar and bottling operations, along with making blending decisions across all AO wines, which led to her promotion to Winemaker in July 2024.

Consulting Winemaker Andy Erickson has crafted an illustrious career since his arrival in Napa Valley in 1994 with a Master’s Degree in Enology from UC Davis.

Over the past thirty years, he has worked with some of Napa Valley’s most notable wineries, including Screaming Eagle, Harlan Estate and Dalla Valle in addition to, his family labels, Favia and Leviathan.

Working hand in hand with Alpha Omega’s winemaking team, Andy’s understanding and winemaking mastery of Napa Valley terroir has been the basis for Alpha Omega’s handcrafting some of the most highly sought-after wines in Napa Valley.
